Living In Limbo
We are living in the tension between two worlds … trying desperately to get to a place we have never been before, while making the most of the place where God has us now. We are anxious to finalize our plans for our move to Togo and to begin our new ministry as teachers to the MKs in Mango. But at the same time, there are so many things happening here in Idaho that we want to fully enjoy. Sierra is taking her finals at The Master’s University this week and will be driving home this weekend for her summer vacation. We can’t wait to spend extended time together as a family. Meanwhile, Ally and Valerie are finishing up their curriculum for this school year. Ally will be taking the SAT this weekend since we won’thave a testing facility nearby while we are in Africa for her senior year of high school. Marc is working long days on the farm with the spring planting and irrigating. And we have ministry presentations, birthdays, our 25th wedding anniversary, church camps, summer jobs, etc. all lined up in the weeks ahead. Please continue to pray for us to be able to balance our time and activities well. Pray also that we would be able to meet our financial support goals in order to leave for Togo in August. We are currently at 47% of our monthly support requirements. We are extremely grateful for many generous one-time donations to our ABWE account which will cover our airfare, visas and immunizations. What we really need now are monthly commitments so that we can have clearance from ABWE to leave in time to get settled in Mango before the school year starts. We THANK YOU for being part of our sending team through your gifts and prayer support.
