Giving Thanks
Rejoice with us! The schoolbooks and supplies that we thought were lost have been found, expedited through customs in Lomé, and delivered to Mango!
We have to laugh at God’s timing. The second order that was placed after all hope seemed lost arrived in Mango on Friday, November 3rd. The first order that was placed in the Spring arrived one day later. This means that last weekend was spent opening boxes, taking inventory of books and materials, adjusting lesson plans, and thanking the Lord for his provision. Now that we have more than we need for this academic year we are also in the process of stocking the shelves with books for next year. Praise the Lord!
Spotlight on Ally
Ally came to Togo at a very pivotal time in her life. She is a senior in high school who is excited about the prospect of spreading her wings and going to college, but who is also eager to take full advantage of the opportunities that she can experience here in Togo, specifically at the Hospital of Hope. She has been volunteering in the Wound Care Clinic every Wednesday morning for the last couple of months. This is probably one of the hardest units to work in and she has seen things that most people could never imagine. Her job is to clean wounds and change dressings for young and old alike. This exposure to the realities of medical missions is something that will mark her for life. We are impressed by her courage and thankful for the experience that she is gaining. Please pray for her as she continues to seek the Lord’s will for her next phase of life.
The headlines from around the world are alarming and we feel the urgency to proclaim the Gospel now more than ever. The door is still wide open here in Northern Togo and we can see the hope that only Jesus can bring to hopeless situations. Thank you for praying for and partnering with us so that we can support the missionaries who are the “front lines.” It is a privilege to be serving on such a diverse and wonderful team.
