Church Hopping
Though “church hopping” is generally not a good practice, we have certainly enjoyed the opportunities that we have had in recent months to visit so many churches in the Treasure Valley and beyond. What a blessing it has been to reconnect with old friends and to meet new brothers and sisters in Christ! Each time that we visit a new church, we are reminded again of how unique and special the bond of faith is. Although we miss the regular fellowship of our home church (Meridian First Baptist), we are very grateful for the time that we have been able to spend with other congregations. THANK YOU to all who have welcomed us, come up to ask questions of us personally, taken a prayer card, hosted us for meals, and joined our prayer and support team. You have been a tremendous encouragement to us!
The days and weeks are flying by. Although we are only at 62% of our monthly support needs, we are beginning the process of sorting through, selling, storing and packing-up our belongings. We know that if God wants us to be in Togo for the beginning of the school year, He will make it happen. We just have to be ready! Our goal is still to be in Mango for the first day of school which is September 6th. The current teacher at the MK school has been busy ordering the curriculum to be shipped by container over to Africa this summer. Please pray that all of the materials arrive safely and in a timely manner. Pray also for the missionary team in Mango during this time of transitions as some families leave for furlough and others will be returning to the field. Pray that the recent tensions between various tribes in the area would be settled and that many Togolese people would come to faith in Jesus Christ through the faithful ministries of the medical staff, radio personnel, Bible translators, chaplains, and church planters.
We wish to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to those who have chosen to give generously and yet remain anonymous.
